North Collins Parent Portal

The North Collins School District is happy to announce that starting in September the PowerSchool Parent Portal will be available to the parents of all the High School students. PowerSchool is the district's electronic student management system, or database, where we collect and store student information. The Parent Portal is PowerSchool’s external interface which allows parents to view real-time information about their child’s school progress. You access the Parent Portal using any computer that is connected to the internet. Parents are able to view a variety of information, including their child’s grades, attendance, assignment descriptions, and  teacher comments. Parents will have access to their own login screen and will be given separate logins for each child they have in the district. A letter was sent out on August 21, 2009 to all the High School student’s parents explaining what the parent portal is and how to access it. In addition to the letter we are providing a parent portal user guide below to help answer any question you may have. This is an 8 page guide that introduces the parent portal, how to get started using it, working with the different menus to access information, and how to log out of the parent portal. The user guide should answer any questions you may have on how to use the parent portal. However, if you can’t find the answers to your questions, you may contact us at the High School main office at 337-0101 ext. 303/304 or by e-mailing us at PowerSchoolAdmin@northcollins.wnyric.org.
