Boys JV Baseball Highlights

 

       The Boys JV baseball team put together two nice wins last week, defeating Catt.~LV, on Wednesday, 4/7, 10-9 in extra innings and then blanking Eden on Saturday, April 10,  5-0. Jason Clark scored the winning run vs. Catt-LV and threw out the tying run at third base to preserve the win. Robert Fera led the team with 3 hits and 1 RBI, while Trey Bley threw a complete game- a 3 hit shut out against Powerhouse Eden on Saturday. The team is 2 and 1.


    The Boys JV baseball team defeated Ellicottville on Tuesday, April 27th by a score of 22-8. On Friday, April 30th, the young Eagles pounded out 23 hits en route to a 22-4 win over Pine Valley. Trey Bley got his second win of the season, while collecting 3 hits and 3 RBI’s. Other players with 3 hits included Robert Fera and Jason Clark. Dylan Trainor led all players with 4 hits and 4RBI’s. The team stands at 5 & 2 and will play today at Ellicottville. The bus leaves at 2:45


       The Boys JV baseball team defeated Ellicottville on Monday, May 3rd, behind Dylan Trainor’s 1 it shut-out. Jared Keppel was a standout at the plate, while hitting for the cycle- which is a single, double, triple and homerun! The team is looking forward to a rematch this Thursday @ Gowanda.


       The Boys JV baseball team rolled Brocton, Monday, May 17th, by a score of 18-5. Trey Bley gave up 2 hits  through 4 innings, while Todd Youngman and Brandon Luther closed the door in relief. The Eagles were led by Jared Bauerlein, who had 3 of the team’s 13 hits. The team plays home today vs. Maple Grove. Game time is 4:30


       On Wednesday, May 19th, the Boys JV baseball team is quietly at 8 wins and 3 losses after defeating a stubborn Maple Grove team by a score of 9-6. Dylan Trainor threw a gem on the mound, going 7 innings and striking out 6. Collecting multiple hits for the Eagles were Jared Keppel, 2 for 4, Garratt Martin, 2 for 2 and Brandon Luther 2 for 3. The team plays Gowanda tomorrow at the Elementary school. Game time is 4:30. Nice work guys.

 


       On Friday, May 21, the Boys JV baseball team avenged two earlier losses to the Gowanda Panthers by defeating  them,  2-1. Trey Bley pitched 7 innings, striking out 10 while Jared Keppel homered for the Eagles. The team plays home tomorrow vs. Brocton @ 4:30.
