Girls Modified Softball Highlights On Tuesday, April 27th, the girls modified softball team played its season opener against a tough Hinsdale squad. A hard fought defensive effort left the Eagles with a 11-6 loss. Great defensive plays were made by Richelle Cyrek, Katie Yoder, Beth Kibler and Molly Spengler. Solid pitching by Sam Gier and Arianna Clark kept our Eagles in the game. Keep up the hard work and good luck on Thursday.
On Thursday, April, 29, our modified softball Lady eagles traveled to Allegheny-limestone yesterday and put up a hard fight against the gators in a double header. The first game ended in a nail biting 16-15 loss for the lady eagles. The second game, a very close game until the gators pulled ahead in the end with a 17-10 victory. Good pitching by Moly Spengler, Sammy Gier, and Arianna Clark. Improved defensive and offensive play show much potential for Ellicottville next Tuesday. Keep working hard Eagles!!!
On Tuesday, May 4th, a Huge congratulations goes out to the Girls Modified softballl team on their first win of the 2010 season defeating the eagles of Ellicottville in a nail- biting- bottom- of- the -7th- rally clutching victory with a 9-8 win!!! This could not have happened without the stellar pitching of Sam Gier and Arianna Clark both striking out 9 batters. A bomb of a triple by Taylor Schenck brought Ashlynn Laukhuff home in the seventh that started the winning rally. Great job ladies and keep up the hard work.
Last night,Tuesday, May 25, our modified lady eagles defeated rival, Ellicottville, in an exciting 17-14 victory. Sammy Gier had another strong performance on the mound. Great defense was the key in this win with remarkable performances by Kara Bliss, Katie Yoder, Richelle Cyrek and Kylie Mathis. Katie Yoder was also exceptional on the offense scoring three times with three hits, three rbis. Great work everyone and keep up the hard work. Today's practice is from 330-430 at the elementary school. Pitchers and catchers plan to stay till 5. Back to Top
