About Us PTA Mission The PTA of North Collins (Branch 19-374 of New York State PTA) and of other communities across the country is dedicated to the welfare of children. At its start PTA sought to protect children by getting them out of factories and into schools where they belonged. Today PTA's work to protect kids from modern dangers by pressing for laws to improve schools, encourage better nutrition, decrease smoking, and improve health care availability. The North Collins PTA needs to count you among its membership to support worthwhile state and national efforts. A portion of the dues goes to this. We also need your support for our local projects which include parent meetings each month. We encourage everyone, members and non-member alike, attend these meetings. They are directed toward helping you make the most of your child's experience in school.
