A Calendar of Upcoming Cultural Events in Western New York A new initiative of WNY's arts and cultural community to build a cultural sector calendar of major events, exhibition openings, fundraisers and special programs. learn several book bindings that are particularly decorative in nature and sure to impress your friends and family. We'll sew several variations of the Japanese stab binding, which is perfect for horizontally-formatted books made with stacked sheets of paper. Well also explore the vast design possibilities of the ancient long stitch binding. Some sewing and/or bookbinding experience is helpful, but not required

Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center Arts icons Cindy Sherman and Robert Longo helped to found the legendary Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center while students in Buffalo in the mid-70's.
