Public Requests

Access to records of the North Collins Central School District will be consistent with the rules and regulations established by the New York State Committee on Open Government and will comply with all the requirements of the New York State Freedom of Information Law.

The Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Scott Taylor, is the Records Access Officer. 

Requests for Records

The District will provide copies of records in the format and on the medium requested by the person filing the Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) request if the District can reasonably do so regardless of burden, volume or cost of the request. The District may charge a fee for copies as permitted by law.  The District may require a person requesting lists of names and addresses to provide a written certification that they will not use the lists of names and addresses for solicitation or fundraising purposes and will not sell, give, or otherwise make available the lists of names and addresses to any other person for the purpose of allowing that person to use the lists of names and addresses for solicitation or fundraising purposes.

If the District has the capability to retrieve or extract electronic records with reasonable effort, the District will provide the records in an electronic format upon request. The District will accept requests for records submitted in the form of email and respond to those requests by email using the form provided below.

Questions may be directed to the Records Access Officer at 716-337-0101, ext. 1301. Records are available for inspection and copying during regular business days between 8 am and 3 pm in the District Office, located at the above address.

The North Collins Central School District will respond to a request within five (5) business days of the receipt of a request.  Should all or part of the request need to be denied, the North Collins Central School District will respond in the manner set forth by the rules and regulations stipulated by the Committee on Open Government.  Further information is available on the website for the Committee on Open Government.
