APPR (Annual Professional Performance Review)
Annual Professional Performance Review
As per the New York State Education Department, school districts were required to submit an Annual Professional Performance Review plan to the state. The New York State Education Department then reviewed the APPR plans to determine if they rigorously complied with Education Law Section 3012-d and the Rules of the Board of Regents.
Eleven components of the North Collins Central School District state approved APPR plan are included below.
Request for Teacher or Principal Composite Score and Effectiveness Rating
In accordance with New York Education Law Section 3012-d (10), parents and legal guardians may request the final rating and composite effectiveness score for each of the teachers and for the principal of the school building in which your student(s) is assigned for the current school year. The District will also provide you with an oral or written explanation of the composite effectiveness scoring ranges for the final quality ratings, and an opportunity to understand such scores in the context of teacher evaluation and student performance. If you are interested in obtaining this information you should contact the Superintendent at 337-0101 ext. 1301 to obtain a request form that needs to be completed before any information can be released.
