Dear Students, Families, Faculty, and Community,
Welcome back to another exciting school year at North Collins Central School District! As I enter my 11th year as superintendent, I want to extend a warm greeting to our dedicated staff, our wonderful families, and the entire North Collins community. It is a privilege to lead this exceptional district, and each fall brings a renewed sense of purpose. Whether you are returning or joining our district family for the first time, I am deeply grateful for your partnership and eager to celebrate all that we will accomplish together in 2026–2027.
Capital Project Update
I want to extend my sincere gratitude to our entire community for supporting our May 2026 Capital Project vote. Thanks to your partnership, we are moving full steam ahead into the detailed architectural and engineering design phase this school year, with formal submittals scheduled for the New York State Education Department (NYSED) in Spring 2027. These essential improvements will address critical facility needs while maintaining fiscal
responsibility—ensuring our buildings remain safe, modern, and proud assets for our students and taxpayers alike.
Bringing Our Strategic Plan to Life
This year marks an exciting step forward as we continue to bring our North Collins CSD Strategic Plan to life. Guided by our shared mission, our focus for the 2026–2027 school year will center on three core priorities:
- Rigorous Teaching & Learning: Fostering academic excellence and long-term student success.
- Student Engagement: Creating dynamic opportunities for growth inside and outside the classroom.
- Operational Excellence: Maintaining safe, efficient, and well-managed facilities and systems across the district.
Recognizing Our Team & Community
A smooth school year start requires tremendous effort behind the scenes. Special thanks go to our maintenance, custodial, and transportation teams— led by Mr. Matt Sanders and Mr. Al Durrett—for their tireless work preparing our buildings, grounds, and fleets this summer.
We are equally grateful to our Board of Education for their thoughtful governance and engaged dialogue in steering our district forward.
To our families, thank you for entrusting us with your children’s education; to our staff, thank you for your passion and excellence every day; and to our broader community, thank you for your unwavering support.
